MUSIC

The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art. The main reason for this pre-eminence is that, as sacred song united to the words, it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy.  Therefore sacred music … adds delight to prayer, fosters unity of minds, or confers greater solemnity upon the sacred rites.  (Constitution of the Sacred Liturgy, Chapter VI, 112).

Holy Savior’s Music Ministry  facilitates liturgy with active music participation, enhances the experience of worship, and provides beauty to the liturgy through music.

The choir sings at Christmas Vigil Mass, Easter Vigil Mass, and special liturgical occasions.  The choir meets to practice before the 10:30 mass during Advent and Lent, and as needed. All are welcome to join the choir.
