RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS is planning to begin on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 p.m.  in the Religious Education building.  If you know of anyone interested in the R.C.I.A, or for more information, please call Amy at the Parish Office at 601- 924-6344.


PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION Classes begin Wednesday, September 9th for 7-12 grades at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 13th for pre-k – 6 grades at 10:00 a.m.  We encourage parents to make sure their children attend Religious Education classes and learn about their Catholic Faith.   A teacher is needed for 3rd grade, as well as, class room helpers and subs for Pre-K – 6th grades on Sunday. If you are interested, please contact Rita Haselhorst or Amy Love at the Parish Office.


HOLY SAVIOR MOTHERS MEETING a new group is being formed to support and affirm mothers in their many roles.  Meetings will be the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning with an interest meeting Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in the Religious education building.  Contact Jennifer Rodgers at 615-403-8335 or Kim Pevey at 228-324-5470 for more information.


WOMEN’S STUDY GROUP is a faith sharing religious education study group for women of all ages.  An information meeting will be held Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 3rd at 10:30 a.m.  For more information contact Amy Love.

MS COLLEGE CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOC.  is hosting an ice cream social this Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in Jennings Courtyard.  Come get the scoop about MCCSA!  For more information, contact Mallory Montgomery at mmontgom@mc.edu


KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS The Knights hold their monthly sausage and biscuit sale the first Sunday of every month.  Beginning next Sunday, September 6th the cost for sausage and biscuits will increase to $1.50 each or 4 for $5.  Orders of 10 or more need to be placed one week in advance by contacting Joe Mraz at 601-594-4065.  All proceeds from the sausage and biscuit sale go to the Education of Future priests.


CYO NEWS  will meet this Sunday in the RE building from 10-11 a.m.


YOUTH CHOIR PRACTICE will be held this Sunday, August 30th from 3-4 p.m. in preparation for the Youth Mass on September 13th.  All youth who interested should attend.


BISHOPS CUP GOLF TOURNMENT  will be held September 17th at Lake Caroline Golf Course beginning with lunch at 11:00 and tee time at 12:30.  This year proceeds from the tournament will go to the Fr. Martin Ruane Memorial Trust.  For more information on the tournament or the trust contact Catholic Foundation at 601-960-8477.


ALTAR SOCIETY   Parishioners wishing to put flowers at the Altar in memory of a loved one should contact Sharon Hopkins at 601-668-7216 or skhop48@bellsouth.net.


SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS are extended to Joe and Vivian Mraz and family on the death of Joe’s brother, Roy Gene Mraz.  May his soul rest in peace.
