LITURGY OF THE WEEK
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (R.C.I.A.) the inquiry stage continues this Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Religious Education building. We thank Amy Love and Bill O’Connor for serving as Catechist and Carolyn O’Connor and Pat Davis for providing hospitality. If you know of anyone interested in the R.C.I.A, or for more information, please call Amy at the Parish Office at 601-924-6344. DIRECTORY PHOTO SESSIONS will resume this Tuesday, October 13th thru Saturday, October 17th. We encourage all parishioners to get their photos taken.
WELCOME TO HOLY SAVIOR A welcome luncheon for new parishioners and our Catholic students attending MS College and Hinds will be held Sunday, November 8th following the 11:00 a.m. Mass. We look forward to meeting all of our newcomers at the luncheon. If you are new to the parish and have not yet registered we encourage you to fill out a registration form. Forms can be found on the table in the vestibule.
MASS COUNT The Bishop has requested that all parishes & missions take a count of all people attending weekend Masses during the month of October. This is part of the ongoing planning of Mission & Ministry in the diocese of Jackson and helps the bishop in future planning for the placement of priests in parishes.
GOLDEN OLDIES meet this Tuesday, October 13th in the Parish Center following the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Please bring your favorite dish to share.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS will meet this Wednesday, October 14th in the Parish Center with a social at 6:30 and meeting at 7:00 p.m.
KC LADIES AUXILIARY will meet this Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. All ladies in the parish are welcome.
MS COLLEGE CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOC. the Catholic Student Association will not meet this Sunday, October 11th due to Fall Break.

HOLY SAVIOR MOTHER’S MEETING is a new group developed to support and affirm young mothers. Meetings will be the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the RE building. The next meeting is Wednesday, October 21st.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL is Saturday, October 24th from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed, if you would like to help contact Rita Haselhorst at 769-257-1397.
LITURGICAL MINISTERS’ SCHEDULE (Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, & Ushers) the next schedule will cover November and December. MEN AND WOMENS CURSILLO the Cursillo Movement is a method of giving those who have a potential for influencing others, a personal encounter with Christ. CARMELITE GIFT SHOP has a full line of statues, holy water fonts, Christmas cards and gifts. Emanuele Fontanini will be at the Carmelite Gift Shop on Sunday, November 22nd to visit and sign your collected figures. The Carmelite Monastery is located at 2155 Terry Rd., Jackson. THE SECOND COLLECTION to be taken up at Masses next weekend is for the Propagation of the Faith in association with World Mission Sunday. This collection helps the Church’s missionary work around the world. Envelopes are available in the pews and in the vestibule.
