PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION there will be a need for teachers and subs for Pre-K – 6th grades in the Parish School of Religion this fall.  If you are interested, please contact Rita Haselhorst at 769-257-1397 or the Parish Office.


RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS the R.C.I.A. will resume in the fall.  We encourage parishioners to volunteer as sponsors and for hospitality.  If you know of anyone interested in the R.C.I.A., for more information, please call the Parish Office

THE CARMELITE NUNS AND CARMELITE SECULARS invite you to celebrate with them the 500th year of the birth of St. Teresa of Avila with Mass at the Cathedral of St. Peter on Saturday June 6th at 10:30 a.m.


JUBILEE YEAR Bishop Gerow established Holy Savior Parish on August 12, 1966 to serve the growing Catholic population in western Hinds county.  Fifty years later we are still going and growing.  We are planning an exciting year to celebrate this milestone.  Mark your calendars: Parish Survey by Long Range Planning committee on May 30-31, 2015; Parish directory photography sessions, September 29-October 3 and October 13-17, 2015 (sign up will begin in August).  Lenten Mission, February 21-24, 2016; and the culmination of the Jubilee Year on Sunday, September 25, 2016 with a celebration Mass and luncheon with Bishop Kopacz.  Additional events and activities are being planned. We need everyone’s participation and involvement to make this a parish celebration.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS will meet Wednesday, May 27TH   at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center.

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME to Mitchell Thomas Lasseigne, the son of Brandon and Angela Lasseigne, who was baptized at Holy Savior last Saturday.  We congratulate, also, his grandparents, Edgar and Jeanie Hill and his great-grandparents, W.E. and Shirley Amis.
