SEMINARIAN ENDOWMENT CHALLENGE Catholic Extension Society has once again offered a Seminarian Endowment Challenge.  They are willing to give the Diocese of Jackson $25,000 to match $75,000 that will be raised in new donations from donors in the diocese.  Donations by new donors of $1000 or more qualify for the matching funds.  If one gave a gift to the Seminarian Endowment Challenge in 2013 of $1000 or more, that donor would need to give the same amount given in 2013 plus an additional $1000.   For example if you gave $1500, you would need to give $2500 this year in order for the donation to count towards the matching goal.  If a donor would like to spread the contributions over the year, that is also acceptable; but the total must be received before December 31, 2015. Pledges do not qualify.  The donations will be placed in the Catholic Extension Mission Diocese Fund to be used by the diocese of Jackson for seminarian education.  Checks can be made out to:  Diocese of Jackson; in the notation area of the check mention, “Seminarian Endowment Challenge.”
