THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS Saturday, November 1st is the Feast of All Saints and is a Holy Day of obligation in the Catholic Church – but without obligation this year because it falls on a Saturday.  Parishioners are encouraged to attend mass to celebrate the feast.  Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 1st at 9:00 a.m.


THE FEAST OF ALL SOULS Sunday November 2nd is the Feast of All Souls this year.   We will celebrate with the regular Sunday Mass Schedule.  A Novena of Masses will be offered for our departed loved ones during the Month of November.  If you wish to have your loved ones included in this Novena either fill out an “All Souls” envelope and/or place the names of your loved ones in the Book of Remembrance.    Both are located in the church vestibule.


WELCOME LUNCHEON for new parishioners is Sunday November 9th after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.  We want to welcome and recognize newcomers to our parish.  We invite those who have joined the parish within the past year, anyone we may have missed last year, also anyone who has not yet registered.  We also invite and welcome Catholic students from Mississippi College and Hinds community College.  Please sign-up or call the Parish Office at 601-924-6344.  Sign-up sheets are located in the vestibule.


PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION children in Pre-K – 6th grade are asked to bring canned goods to class in exchange for Holy Savior Bucks November 2nd – 16th. 


CYO NEWS the CYO invite all parishioners to a pancake breakfast this Sunday, October 26th following the 9:00 a.m. Mass.  Tickets can be purchased at the door.  Tickets are $4.00 for regular pancakes or $5.00 for special chocolate chip pancakes.  Thank you for your support.


NEWMAN CLUB will meet this Sunday, October 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Holy Savior for a Rosary.  Dinner will be provided after in the Parish Center.  All College students are invited to attend.  We thank Ron and Rosemary Harvel for providing the dinner.


NEW ALTAR SERVER TRAINING will be held in the church Sunday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 9th from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Attendance at both sessions is mandatory.   Parent permission slips will be provided at Religious Education classes.  Altar Servers must be in Fourth Grade or above, attend Mass regularly with their parents, and participate regularly in Religious Education classes at Holy Savior or attend Catholic School.


KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS the Knights will be selling Christmas Cards after all masses November 1 & 2 and November 8 & 9.  Thank you for your support.  SAUSAGE & BISCUIT SUNDAY Next Sunday, November 2nd the Knights invite everyone for coffee, sausage & biscuits and fellowship after the 9:00 Mass.  Proceeds benefit Future Priest Education.


29th CATHOLIC HABITAT BUILD volunteers are still needed for Holy Savior work day on November 15th.  Volunteer sign-up cards are located in the vestibule or you can contact Allen Scott at 601-506-8434.  The house is located at 2940 Smith Robinson in Jackson.


THE SECOND COLLECTION to be taken up at Masses next weekend, November 2nd, is for Diocesan Missions.  This collection supports the mission parishes and schools in the Diocese of Jackson.  Envelopes are available in the pews and in the vestibule.


ALTAR SOCIETY parishioners wishing to put flowers at the Altar in memory of a loved one should contact Sharon Hopkins at 601-668-7216 or skhop48@bellsouth.net


IN MEMORIAM the flowers in front of the altar for this Sunday are placed by Carol Meme Pate in memory of the Meme family.


A SUCCESSFUL BAR-B-QUE We want to thank all our parishioners who participated in and supported our 40th Annual Chicken Bar-B-Que.  We extend a special thank you to Allen Scott and crew.  Thank you for your support of our parish!
