LITURGY OF THE WEEK
FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION is a Holy Day of obligation. Mass for the Holy Day will be on Tuesday, December 8th at 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Catholics are expected to attend Mass on this Holy Day.
RITE OF WELCOME we welcome the candidates from the Parish RCIA program along with their sponsors, who are participating in the Rite of Acceptance this Sunday at the 11:00 Mass. We encourage parishioners to welcome them and to keep them in your prayers as they take this step and discern their future in the Catholic Church. The candidates are: Mark Davis, Kimberly Morrissey, Cherlynn Womack, Travis Thornhill and Brendan Chrietzberg. RCIA candidates are encouraged to attend Mass for the Holy Day followed by class this Tuesday, December 8th. We thank Amy Love for serving as Catechist and Sharon Hopkins for providing hospitality last week.
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION CHRISTMAS PROGRAM for children in Pre-K through 6th grade is December 24th. Practice will be held on Wednesday, December 9th, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the church with a mandatory practice on Saturday, December 19th at 10 a.m. followed by Pizza at 11:00 a.m. For more information contact Rita Haselhorst.
HOLY SAVIOR ANGEL TREE There are a few angels left. If you did not get one please pick one up this weekend. Gifts should be wrapped and placed in the back of the church beginning December 12-13 and no later than December 19-20. For large items contact Rita Haselhorst to make delivery/pickup arrangements.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY is Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle. The Mass honors married couples, but especially invites couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, 60th or any significant wedding anniversary in 2016. Parishioners celebrating significant anniversaries should call Julie at the Parish Office at 601-924-6344 no later than December 31st. Formal invitations will be mailed in January.
GOLDEN OLDIES has been postponed until next Tuesday, December 15th due to the Holy Day.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS AND KC LADIES AUXILIARY are having their Christmas Dinner on Wednesday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m. All Knights, wives, and family members are welcome. Please bring a dish to share, meat will be furnished by the Knights.
CYO NEWS the CYO will meet this Sunday, December 6th. The CYO Christmas party is Sunday, December 13th from 4-6 p.m. at the home of John and Juana Weisenberger. Bring a gift ($10 limit). For more information contact Hunter at firstname.lastname@example.org
PARENTS DAY OUT the CYO is hosting a “Parents Day Out” on Saturday, December 19th from 1-5 p.m. in the Parish Center. Drop off your children (of all ages) for the entire time or a couple hours. This event is free, however donations will be accepted! As always, we thank you for your continued support!
SAUSAGE AND BISCUIT SUNDAY the knights will be selling sausage and biscuits this Sunday, December 6th after the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Sausage and Biscuits are $1.50 each or 4 for $5.

CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL FLOWER ENVELOPES are available in the vestibule. Memorial contributions will be used to purchase Christmas poinsettias for the Church. Please return envelopes in the collection basket by December 20th.

SECOND COLLECTON next Sunday, December 13th is for Retired Religious. For the Catholic sisters, brothers and religious order priests who have dedicated their lives to parish and pastoral ministry this collection will help furnish financial assistance for the day to day care and help their communities implement long-term retirement strategies. Envelopes are located in the pews and vestibule.
2016 OFFERTORY ENVELOPES for registered parishioners will be available for pick up this weekend December 5-6 and December 12-13. If you cannot find your envelope or a new to the parish and would like envelopes, please call the parish office.
