PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION re opens on Wednesday, September 3rd with class for the junior high and high school and on Sunday, September 7th for the grade school and Adult Education. All children in the parish are expected to regularly participate in the program for a two year period as a partial requirement for receiving the sacraments.  Parents are responsible to ensure their children and teenage youth participate in the program.  The education and growth does not end with Confirmation.  A class for 11th and 12th grade will continue this fall.  Confirmation class begins September 3rd for all 9th and 10th grade.  A mandatory meeting of parents of the candidates of confirmation will be held Wednesday, September 10th from 6-7:30 p.m.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN any adult volunteer or staff who works with youth in any capacity must meet the guidelines of the diocese and the Dallas Charter for the Protection of Children.  Training is held at the beginning of the school year and not offered ad hoc throughout the year.  Dean Kinsey will continue to oversee the parish training of Protection of Children.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS The R.C.I.A. inquiry stage will begin September 16th if we have enough candidates to make a class.   Candidates interested in the RCIA process need to register by calling the Parish Office before Friday, September 12th so the parish can prepare and plan for the program.

YOUTH MASS beginning in September, on the second Sunday of each month, youth in grades 7-12th will participate as lectors and ushers at the 9:00 a.m. mass.  We would like to invite post-confirmation and college students to participate as well. If you are interested, please contact Amy Love at DRE_amylove@outlook.com
