LITURGY OF THE WEEK
We extend to all our parishioners and their families our prayers and seasonal wishes for a blessed and joyful Christmas and Christmas Season. We welcome all our visitors and all those coming home to share Christmas with their families. We thank all our parishioners for their generosity to Holy Savior during the year. FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF OUR LORD Thursday, December 25 is the Feast of the Birth of our Savior “Christmas” – a Holy Day of obligation. The vigil Mass for the Feast will be on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., preceded by the children’s program at 4:30 p.m. Mass for the Feast day will be at 9:00 a.m. We welcome all our parishioners and visitors to Holy Savior for the Christmas season.
JANUARY 1, 2015 - FEAST OF MARY MOTHER OF GOD Thursday, January 1, 2015 is New Year’s Day, The Feast of Mary Mother of God and World Day of Prayer for Peace. This is a Holy Day of obligation, Mass will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. A vigil mass for the feast day will be Wednesday, December 31st at 5:00 p.m.
PARISH EPIPHANY PARTY This is an adult’s only party which starts after the Saturday Vigil Mass on January 3rd. Parish will provide the meat so bring your favorite side dish and BYOB.
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION Classes are finished for this year. Classes will resume Sunday, January 7th and Wednesday, January 11th. We thank the parents for supporting the Religious Education Program and we especially thank the teachers for giving of their time and sharing their faith with our children.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY is Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle. The Mass honors married couples, but especially invites couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, 60th or any significant wedding anniversary in 2015. Parishioners celebrating significant anniversaries should call Julie at the Parish Office at 601-924-6344 no later than December 30th. Formal invitations will be mailed in January.
CYO NEWS the CYO will not meet this Sunday, December 21 or Sunday December 28 for the Christmas Holidays.
