We encourage all parishioners to participate in Holy Week services, especially the

Easter Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil.


PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION Religious Education class continues this Sunday, March 29th.  There will be no RE during Holy Week and Easter Sunday.  Students are encouraged to participate in the Holy Week services.  Religious Education classes will resume Wednesday, April 8th and Sunday, April 12th.


PARISH EASTER EGG HUNT for children up to Grade 6 is this Saturday, April 4th from 2-3:00 p.m.  For more information, call Rita Haselhorst at 601-924-0570 or the Parish Office.


SAUSAGE AND BISCUIT SUNDAY the Knights of Columbus will have their sausage and biscuit Sunday on April 12th.


K OF C LADIES AUXILIARY will be selling raffle tickets for a 62” crocheted tablecloth, handmade by Ella Deffner the weekend of April 11-12th.  Tickets are $2 or 3 or $5 and can be purchased in advance from any Auxiliary member.


CYO NEWS the CYO will meet this Sunday, March 29th.  CYO members will have a pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 19th after the 9:00 a.m. Mass.  CYO members will also be selling $2 raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three prizes: 1) grill, 2) jewelry or 3) gift card to 303 Jefferson.  Proceeds will help with their retreat expenses and their trip to the Steubenville South conference.  Tickets may be purchased in advance from any CYO member.  For more information contact Mary Katherine Yentzen at 601-415-8371.


MC CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOCIATION will meet this Sunday, March 29th in 116 Jennings Hall.


ALTAR SOCIETY parishioners wishing to put flowers at the Altar in memory of a loved one should contact Sharon Hopkins at 601-668-7216 or skhop48@bellsouth.net


EASTER MEMORIAL FLOWERS envelopes for Easter Memorial Flowers are available in the vestibule.  Memorial contributions will be used to buy Easter flowers for the church.  Please return envelopes in the regular offertory collection by Sunday, March 29th.


SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS extended to Allen and Maureen Scott on the Death of Maureen’s Aunt, Karleen Theobald.  Louie and Rosemary Grantham on the death of Louie’s Uncle, George Lewis.  Carter and Kim Pevey on the death of Kim’s Grandfather, Paul Collins, and to Jason and Misty Rogers on the death of Jason’s grandmother, Mary Jo Stoner.     May they rest in peace.



--Good Friday – at the request of the Holy Father and Bishop, on Good Friday a collection will be taken up for the Catholic People and churches of the Holy Land. 

--Easter Sunday – the second collection will be for the Education of Seminarians.  Envelopes for both are located in the pews and vestibule.
