Sunday, May 3, is World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We celebrate vocations to ordained ministry and relgious life in all forms. Please join us in praying these prayers:

For Vocations to the Priesthood
God our Father, from eternity You appointed Your only begotten Son to the the High Priest of the human race. Pour forth, we beseech You, Your Holy spirit upon our families, that vocations to the priesthood may be multiplied.
Lord Jesue, give us priest and holy priests:
To offer up the unceasing sacrifice of the Mass;
To lead the little ones to You;
To strengthen the faith of believers;
To preach the Gospel to all peoples;
To bring forgiveness to repentant sinners;
To give the Bread of Life to starving souls;
To comfort the suffering;
To help the dying;
To spread Your Kingdom in our midst;
Mary, Mother of our High Priest, pray for us; obtain for us an increase of holy priests.

Amen

Prayer for Seminarians
Father, thank you for the generosity of our seminarians. Safeguard them as they prepare for the priesthood.
Keep all evil far from them, so they may become strong Christian men who are faithful to prayer, diligent in their studies, open to spiritual direction, and docile to all aspects of seminary formation.
Above all, enflame their hearts with love so they will be ardent and gentle shepherds for Your Church.
We make this prayer through the great High Priest, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

St. Charles Borromeo, patron of seminarians, pray for us.
